During shutdown of the OPC Server, safety and housekeeping tasks are carried out for each item. Windows 95 & 98 takes longer to do these tasks than other operating systems which have improved security and memory managment.

Where the number of items is many hundreds or thousands, the time to perform this action may become noticiable.
