What Is A Substitute Product For TDS Solid-State Timers?


1.It depends on TDS model. Refer to the following table.

1.Y92F-50 Flush Mounting Adaptors can be attached to a surface mounting TDS for flush mounting.

2.The bottom row gives recommended substitute products or models with substitute functions. For details, refer to the following information.

2.The substitute product in column (1) is H3CR-A8E Solid-state Timers with instantaneous contacts.
The substitute product has 8 pins like TDS but the wiring is not compatible. Therefore new wiring is required. It is recommended that the socket is changed to P2CF-08 Surface Mounting Sockets. If you continue to use 8PF(A) Sockets, they must be used with Y92F-42 Adaptors, PF085 Sockets with Y92H-8 Hold-down Clips, and PL08 Sockets with Y92H-7 Hold-down Clips.
The operating mode of H3CR-A8E must be ON-delay in mode A.

3.The substitute product in column (2) is H3CR-A Solid-state Timers.
The substitute product must be used with 11-pin P2CF-11 Surface Mounting Sockets, and new wiring is required.
The external input of TDS-A is equivalent to the start input of H3CR-A, but the signal conditions are reversed. Therefore the signal must be externally created and input as the start input to H3CR-A.
The operating mode of H3CR-A must be ON-delay in mode A.

4.The substitute product in column (3) is H3CR-A.
The substitute product must be used with P2CF-11, and new wiring is required.
The external input of TDS-B is equivalent to the start input of H3CR-A, but the signal conditions are reversed. Therefore the signal must be externally created and input as the start input to H3CR-A.
The operating mode of H3CR-A must be interval operation in mode E.

5.The substitute product in column (4) is H3CR-A.
The substitute product must be used with P2CF-11, and new wiring is required.
The external input of TDS-C is equivalent to the start input of H3CR-A with the same signal conditions. Therefore the signal can be directly input as the start input to H3CR-A.
The operating mode of H3CR-A must be interval operation in mode E.

6.The substitute product in column (5) is H3CR-A8E Solid-state Timers with instantaneous contacts.
The substitute product has 8 pins like TDS but the wiring is not compatible. Therefore new wiring is required. It is recommended that the socket is changed to P3G-08 Back Connecting Sockets, but US08 Sockets can also be used.
There is no need to change the size of the panel cutout, but Y92F-73 Flush Mounting Adaptors are required.
The operating mode of H3CR-A8E must be ON-delay in mode A.

7.The substitute product in column (6) is H3CR-A.
The substitute product must be used with 11-pin P3GA-11 Back Connecting Sockets, and new wiring is required.
The external input of TDS-YA is equivalent to the start input of H3CR-A, but the signal conditions are reversed. Therefore the signal must be externally created and input as the start input to H3CR-A.
There is no need to change the size of the panel cutout, but Y92F-73 is required.
The operating mode of H3CR-A must be ON-delay in mode A.

8.The substitute product in column (7) is H3CR-A.
The substitute product must be used with P3GA-11, and new wiring is required.
The external input of TDS-YB is equivalent to the start input of H3CR-A, but the signal conditions are reversed. Therefore the signal must be externally created and input as the start input to H3CR-A.
There is no need to change the size of the panel cutout, but Y92F-73 is required.
The operating mode of H3CR-A must be interval operation in mode E.

9.The substitute product in column (8) is H3CR-A.
The substitute product must be used with P3GA-11, and new wiring is required.
There is no need to change the size of the panel cutout, but Y92F-73 is required.
The external input of TDS-YC is equivalent to the start input of H3CR-A with the same signal conditions. Therefore the signal can be directly input as the start input to H3CR-A.
The operating mode of H3CR-A must be interval operation in mode E.

10.The substitute product in column (9) is H3AM-NS Analog Timers. There are 3 multitimers for H3AM. Select from the A, B, or C series.
The terminal arrangement of the external connection is not compatible.
H3AM-NS cannot be used with DC power supplies, so see whether H3CR-A8E can be used to create a substitute function.
The size of the panel cutout is compatible.
In order to extract the instantaneous contact output, H3AM-NS must be internally switched from time-limit output to instantaneous input.
