Startup Manual for V1000 in the HVAC application

Parameter setup: The following parameter list is the parameter values that must be configured/changed (highlighted), while the parameter values in gray are the factory settings, although these also should be checked. To reset all the parameters to the factory defaults, select the parameter A1-03 and select 2220.

With a large inertia moment in the fan a surge alarm can occur.  At the deceleration point, set C1-02 to a high (> 30 sec.) Set any b1-03 to the value 1 (free couplings at the end). Note that the parameter H1-01 or H3-10 is selected depending on the type of temperature monitoring of the engine. Leave the factory setting for the those which are not being used.

If the minimum and / or maximum rate should be set differently than the predefined V / f-curves then manually set  the entire V / f-curve. Parameter E1-03 is equal to F-curve set the parameters E1-04 to E1-10. Intermediate frequency / voltage is handled between E1-07 and E1-08 as shown above.

Error messages: If the inverter detects an error at the wrong end (MA-MB-MC) it is activated and stops the engine after the setup has been selected, or will continue operating if this is already selected. Below are some of the most common error messages, if other errors occur see the complete manual.

Error Code Description Cause and Fix
oC Over Current-inverter's power output has exceeded 200% of the brand power


  • Inverter's output is briefly stopped or it's occurring in the earth cable or motor
  • The engine is overloaded. Acceleration and / or deceleration is too short.
  • Motor capacity is too great
  • Any breaks/ contactors between the motor and transducer have opened and closed again

Find errors, fix and reset error


Earth Fault

Earth Fault on inverter's output, exceeded 50% of transducer's brand power

  • Insulation Fault in the motor or cable between the inverter and motor, possibly inverter's output transistors. For constant errors in the inverter or system, disconnect the power cable to the inverter's terminals and start the inverter.
Correct errors and reset the inverter.
PUF Fuse for DC bus is defective
  • Output Transistor defect
  • Short fuse motor cable or motor
Find errors and adjust the transducer

DC voltage in the internal adapter is spiked
410VDC for 200V series
820VDC for 400V series

  • If the error occurs at the down braking the deceleration is too short. Increase it
  • If deceleration can not be increased, mount brake resistance
  • Check the input voltage
Find the cause and fix quickly, reset converter
Uu1 Under Voltage
DC voltage in the internal adapter is too low
190VDC for 200V series
380VDC for 400V series 
  • Check feed tension, are all phases present?
  • Check the connection terminals
  • Brief power failure, set parameter L2-01 = 2
  • Voltage Variation
Find the cause and reset the adapter
oH Over Temperature on cool flange 
Temperature higher than set in L8-02 or 105oC 
  • Ambient temperature too high

oL1 Motor overloaded
Thermal protection is activated, the motor is overloaded 
  • The load is too large, the acceleration-deceleration is too short.
  • V / f curve is incorrect
  • Inverter's capacity is too small
Read about the inverter's engine power display
Monitor acceleration-/deceleration and adjust them. Check the layout of V / f curve. Is E2-01 set correctly?
oL2  Transducer overloaded
  • The load is too large, the acceleration-deceleration is too short.
  • V / f curve is incorrect
  • Inverter's capacity is too small
Read about the inverter's engine power display
Monitor acceleration-/deceleration and adjust them. Check the layout of V / f curve.
EF(x)  Failure of the digital input
  • Check the input number (x) S2, S3, etc.
  • Find errors in the input status

 Undermoment detection

Engine power is less than the value set in L6-02

  • Engine power is too low <L6-02 longer than L6-03 when L6-01 set to 5 or 6
  • Change the values of L6-02 and / or L2-03.
  • Turn off the feature by setting L6-01 = 0
Procedure for programming:

1. Access to programming mode:
Press ▲ a number of times until the 'Couple' is displayed. Then ENTER to get into programming mode.
2. Find the desired parameter group:
Use ▲ or ▼to scroll between the different parameter groups in the programming menu,
the following appears A1-􀀀 􀀀> A2-􀀀 􀀀> b1-􀀀 􀀀> b2-􀀀 􀀀 etc.
3. Find the desired parameter number:
When the desired parameter group is found press ENTER to scroll between the different
parameter numbers in the parameter group items. d1-01 where 01 blinks, to scroll between the parameter numbers (􀀀 􀀀 -01, -02 􀀀 􀀀, 􀀀 􀀀 -03, etc.) use ▲ or ▼.
4. Change the parameter value:
When the desired parameter number is found, press ENTER for edit it. Use RESET > to move the cursor to the desired position (flashing digit), changes made with ▲ or ▼ and saving of edited values will happen when ENTER is pressed, "End" appears for a moment if the new value is approved.
To move forward / change the second parameter-in the same group use ▲▼, and section 4 is repeated to edit the value. If a parameter in another parameter group is to be changed press ESC to come up a level (the code for parameter group flashes) and points 2, 3 and 4 are repeated.
5. End of programming:
At the end of the programming adapter must be put into Drive mode.
Press the ESC key 2 times until the 'F xx.xx' appears on the screen and it glows in the DRV diode, end with ENTER.
