VDE said that it is possible to switch different voltages on different contacts of a relay which have basic insulation (Omron Relays) as long as no SELV ( Safety Extra Low Voltage ) or PELV (Protective Extra Low Voltage ) will be switched as a second voltage across the different contacts.
For SELV or PELV it requires that the relay must be approved as reinforced insulated.
For SELV or PELV it requires that the relay must be approved as reinforced insulated.
Omron relays have basic insulation, which makes it possible to switch 2 different voltages according to VDE. Therefore Omron relays will not be tested if they meet reinforced insulation at the moment.
