Sometimes, on remote connection, the server appears to start up, however, there is no icon in the toolbar and it doesn't seem to return data correctly.

There is a DCOM setting (use DCOMCNFG.EXE) that is set for OpenDataServer on the 'Identity' tab. Sometimes by default the operating system puts this to 'The launching user'. If the launching user is a different user to the current user of that machine, then the icon is not displayed and the server does not function correctly.

Ensure this setting is set to 'The interactive user'
