Adding Actions To An Alarm Event In NA

Overview

This article explains how use alarm event and add an action to it.

Alarm Events and Actions

Once an alarm group is created and individual alarms have been configured within that group, you can use events associated with individual alarms.

In order to see the list of available events you need to have Events and Actions window opened (Ctrl+Shift+5). By default this appears on the right side of the screen tabbed with Toolbox window.

Select the alarm you wish to configure in the list of alarms and the list of available events will appear in the events and actions.

Each individual alarm can have 3 different events:

• Raised
• Acknowledged
• Cleared

Each event can have an action associated with it. The list of actions that can be used is the same as for any other NA object.

Multiple actions can be associated with a single event.
