Where Is The CX-Server Lite/OPC Toolbar In Excel 2007 or 2010?


Excel 2007 and 2010 work in a different way to previous versions of Excel and CX-Server Lite no longer has a toolbar.
 
In order to use the development tools in Excel 2007 and 2010, you will need to enable the Developer tab on the ribbon.
 

Excel 2007

In Excel 2007, you must press the Office Logo on the top left of the Excel Window and then press the Excel Options button, this will display the options dialog. From here you can choose to see the Developer Tab in the ribbon:
 
 
Once you have a developer tab you can add the CX-Server Lite controls to an Excel sheet by choosing 'Insert' followed by 'More Controls' (Icon with Hammer and Spanner):
 
 
 
 

Excel 2010

In Excel 2010, select File -> Options:
 
 
Then select 'Customize Ribbon'. Under 'Main Tabs ensure that 'Developer' is checked:
 
 
 
 
Once you have a developer tab you can add the CX-Server Lite controls to an Excel sheet by choosing 'Insert' followed by 'More Controls' (Icon with Hammer and Spanner):
